Step 1:
Make sure you don't have any airtime on your phone to avoid deduction of your money. - This is for your own safety.
Step 2:
Now Dial *475# twice on your phone, Ipad, laptop to activate 1GB data for free
Step 3:
You will receive a pop up message like: This plan is only available on Saturday and Sunday. And when you re-dial the code, you will see another pop up message like: You have already purchased...
Step 4:
That means, your weekend bundle has activated for free! Usable only at 12am on Saturdays till Sunday 11:59am.

Update:
I have tried using this package on my Laptop via Hotspot, though Airtel sent me the free 1gb, it didn't connect but other users have confirmed that it is working for them. In case you encounter this, it might just be some network error.
